Vinted Pro: who needs it and how it works

· 4 min read

Vinted Pro is Vinted’s account for businesses: sole traders, companies and charities. If you only sell clothes you’ve worn yourself, you don’t need it. If you buy stock to resell, you probably do, because Vinted says professionals must declare themselves as Pro sellers. Here’s what changes, from Vinted’s own Pro guide and help pages, read in October 2026.

What Vinted Pro is

A Pro account sells in the same catalogue as everyone else, with a Pro badge next to your name and on your items. Listing is free, as on a normal account, and the buyer pays the Vinted fee on each order. Vinted invoices you for the services you use, such as shipping labels and paid promotions.

Who has to use it

Vinted’s rules say a normal account is for your own benefit and “not for any professional reasons”, and its Pro guide says professionals must declare themselves as Pro sellers. If you don’t, Vinted can sanction the account, ask you to switch, or block it. You’re likely a professional if:

  • you buy clothes, lots or wholesale bundles to sell them on for a profit;
  • you make items to sell, even as a hobby that has grown;
  • you sell for a shop, a brand or a business you run.

Clearing out your own wardrobe, even a very full one, is private selling.

Where it’s available

In October 2026, Vinted’s help pages list businesses registered in France, Belgium, the Netherlands, Luxembourg, Italy, Spain, Portugal and the UK. Its Pro service page also names Ireland, Germany and Austria, and says Pro is being tested elsewhere. The sign-up page on your own country’s Vinted site is the one that counts.

What you need to sign up

  • A registered business: sole trader, company or non-profit.
  • Your business registration number and tax ID, plus a VAT number if you have one. UK sole traders give their National Insurance number.
  • A business address and the details of the person representing the business.
  • Documents for Vinted’s identity and business checks.

What changes when you go Pro

  • 14 days to change their mind. Buyers can withdraw from a purchase for 14 days after delivery, and get their money back through Vinted within 14 days of the item coming back. Don’t refund buyers yourself.
  • Slower payouts. If the buyer reports nothing, an order completes automatically 14 days after delivery, not 2.
  • A legal guarantee. In the EU, a business owes buyers a guarantee that the item matches its description for two years after delivery.
  • More in each listing. The item’s essential characteristics, a price including VAT, and your business name, address, contact details and registration numbers.
  • VAT. Once your sales pass your country’s VAT threshold you have to register. Sales to buyers in other EU countries are taxed at your rate until they pass €10,000 a year, then at the buyer’s rate. The EU One-Stop Shop (OSS) handles that in one return.

Switching an existing account

You can turn your current account into a Pro one from the Vinted Pro page, but only once every order is finished and you’ve withdrawn your balance. Or keep your normal account for your own things and open a separate Pro account, with a different email address and phone number.

Is it worth it?

Once you trade, it isn’t really a choice: a Pro account keeps your Vinted account safe and your taxes straight. You get a badge buyers recognise and returns handled through Vinted. The cost is mostly paperwork: a registered business, tax and social charges in your country, and the 14-day returns. Our guide on how Vinted works covers fees and payouts for both kinds of account.

Photos for a Pro wardrobe

Resellers list dozens of items a week, and posing in every one isn’t realistic. Vintsee puts your photo of each item on an AI model, keeping colour, print, logos and wear as they are, and writes the listing text. A business has to describe items accurately, so keep your own photos of the real item, flaws included, in every listing.
