What sells best on Vinted, and what to skip
Some things on Vinted sell within hours, others wait for months at any price. The difference is mostly what the item is, how known the brand is and whether it’s in season. Here’s what tends to sell, what tends to sit, and how to check before you spend time listing.
What tends to sell fast
- Brands people know. Buyers search by brand, so a known label gets found. High-street names whose fit people already know, sportswear brands and denim brands are steady sellers.
- Jeans and jackets. Good denim, leather jackets, puffers and rain jackets hold their value and are easy to judge from photos and measurements.
- Sportswear. Leggings, running gear, football shirts and gym tops from known brands.
- Kids’ clothes. Children outgrow things fast, so parents buy often, and they like bundles in one size.
- Occasion wear. Wedding guest dresses, prom dresses and suits that were worn once. Many buyers would rather not pay full price for one evening.
- Shoes and bags from known brands, in good condition, with photos of the soles or the inside.
What tends to sit
- Basics with no brand and no size label. Nobody searches for them, so they only sell on price.
- Anything out of season. A winter coat in July can wait months, then sell in a week in October.
- Items with wear that the photos don’t show. They get questions and returns instead of sales.
- Things that are hard to judge from a photo: no measurements, no label, a colour that looks different in every picture.
Check demand before you list
Search Vinted for the brand and item, the way a buyer would. Look at how many similar listings there are and what they cost, and at how many favourites the good ones have. Hundreds of near-identical items at low prices means you need a sharp price or a bundle. Few listings with plenty of favourites means people want it and you can price with confidence.
Make it sell once it’s listed
Whatever you sell, the same basics decide how fast it goes: a clear first photo, a title with brand, item and size, honest measurements and a fair price. Our guide on how to sell on Vinted goes through each step, and the one on Vinted photos that sell covers the pictures.
For clothes, worn photos help buyers see the fit. If you don’t want to pose, Vintsee puts your own photo of the item on an AI model, keeping the colour, print, logos and wear as they are, and writes the listing text in your language. Keep your own photos of the real item in the listing as well.
